When You access the Service by or through a mobile device, We may collect certain information automatically, including the type of mobile device, mobile device unique ID, IP address, mobile operating system, type of mobile Internet browser, and other diagnostic data.

Calculator Submissions
When You ask Us to email You the results of one of Our online calculators, We collect and store, in addition to Your email address:
- The interface language (English or Portuguese) You were using at the time
- The structured inputs You entered (such as province, corporate income, planned RRSP contribution, and scenario settings)
- A snapshot of the computed result We sent You by email
- A copy of the exact consent statement You accepted, together with the timestamp of that consent
This information is stored in a Postgres database operated by Vercel through its Neon integration, in a region selected by Us. The connection between Our servers and the database is encrypted in transit (SSL/TLS), and the data is encrypted at rest by the database provider. Access is restricted to Databooks personnel who require it for the purposes described in this Policy.
We use this information to:
- Deliver the email You requested
- Maintain a record that the consent was obtained, in compliance with the Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and PIPEDA
- Follow up with You about Our services where Your inputs suggest We may be able to help, only to the extent permitted by Your consent
- Improve Our calculators and understand which scenarios are most useful
We retain calculator submissions for up to 24 months from the date of submission, after which they are deleted, unless a longer retention is required by law or to resolve disputes. You may request earlier deletion at any time by emailing Us at the privacy contact below.
